NGPAC comprises an independent Chair and the Code Registrar along with representatives from the following:
- the Commonwealth Government;
- State and Territory Governments;
- Australian Gas Association;
- Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association;
- Australian Pipeline Industry Association;
- Business Council of Australia Energy Reform Task Force;
- Australian Competition and Consumer Commission;
- 2 representatives from State
and Territory Regulators:
- Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) New South Wales;
- Office of Gas Access Regulation WA;
- and the National Competition Council as observer and adviser.
NGPAC Chair
The NGPAC Chair, Mr Greg Harvey, is independent of both government and industry. Mr Harvey was the Managing Director of Gas and Fuel Corporation in Victoria from 1994 to 1997. He is based in Melbourne.
NGPAC Secretariat
The NGPAC Secretariat is staffed by a part time Executive Officer, and a Program Manager located within the Energy Division of the Department for Transport, Energy and Infrastructure (DTEI). The Secretariat is responsible for the administrative support to NGPAC.
